Review content:
I had the most disappointing end result, and was charged twice what I was quoted and took three times as long...
I had a gift card to Moda, and looking at their website and prices, booked a partial foil. I was very specific to book a partial foil at the current rate of $66 - the bare minimum foil. I had never gotten color there before and didn't know what to expect. I also asked what the timeline would be and the receptionist said about 60-75 minutes.
Upon arrival I checked in and met my stylist. She asked me if we were doing a foil and a cut. I said ""No, Partial"".
I wanted something fun and chunky and dramatic within the blonde/light brown family (my hair was all over bleached blonde) to help transition my color back to natural. We looked at photos and discussed ""chunky"" for my partial.
Instead she ended up doing a full foil with two colors. She never once said that this is an additional cost, or that she was doing a full foil. The color was well blended, and ended up about 1/2 a shade darker than when I came in. Not at all what I wanted. THREE hours later we finally started drying my hair - but by then I was there almost three times as long as I had anticipated, so I requested to not have my hair styled.
I go to check out in a rush, and find out my total was $117. I asked why the price had more than DOUBLED. The receptionist said she didnt know (to quote her ""Maybe it was because it took so long, or you're hair is really thick"" As a side note, my hair is fine and extremely thin), and could ask the stylist. I said I needed to leave, as I was already an hour late to my next appointment, so she offered to check with the stylist and call me back.
I have yet to hear from them.
I'm disappointed because The appointment took THREE times as long, was charged TWICE as much as I was quoted, and I didn't received a single service I came in for. I also was NEVER informed of any additional costs or made aware of changes.
I wanted a fun summer look and ended up with a color I could have done myself for $7 dollars from a box.
