Review content:
I contracted with Energy Seal on 5/26/2011 to spray the entire roofline with 2 pound per cubic foot close cell foam at a thickness of 2.5 inches. Insulation removal was to be done on 6/1/2011. An an energy audit /pressure test was to be conducted prior to and after completion of the job. The Job was scheduled for 6/2/2011. I have been very unsatisfied with the job as many problems exist because contractual requirements were not met. I have had asked Energy Seal to return 4 times to correct the sloppy job in spraying as I had to perform my own inspection and aggravated my disability in doing so. Energy Seal, Stan Nagle contracted with Taylor Inspection Services, Inc. to settle the dispute as to how the foam was installed and issues associated with the install and thickness. Steve Taylor crawled around attic and then recommended that I seek the foam manufactures assistance. I have contacted Demilec foam manufacture and they sent a technical expert to come in and look over the job who then provided a quote to correct the deficiences. Issues/deficiencies noted: 1.Energy Seal failed to remove all the insulation and plastic air barrier as required by the manufacture of the foam Demilec. 2.Foam was sprayed on valuable items stored in the attic, as Energy Seal did not do due diligence and cover valuables. 3.Fan in bathroom was filled with foam and burned out motor due to no protection of the system before spraying foam. 4.Foam sprayed in the attic addition was contracted to be close cell and it is open cell foam. This fails to meet contract requirements and is sold at a much lower cost. This is fraud as not what I paid for was not delivered as contracted. 5.Air gaps exist between the roof truss and the ceiling joists in the addition attic. This is happening because insulation was left installed and spray foam was sprayed over the existing insulation. I have pictures showing large air gaps and insulation under the foam and samples of the wrong foam which can be supplied upon request. 6.The attic in the main house is not to the contracted required thickness and allows for excessive heat. Many areas have around 1.5 inches of foam thickness which is less than the contractual requirement of 2.5 inches. Voids exist over much of the areas that are harder to reach and were ignored by the contractor upon repeated requests to correct the problem. The contractor felt that it was my obligation to crawl around the attic and identify areas where they did not meet contractual requirements. Because of my disability I was not able to do this and we agreed to a third party inspection. 7.Failed to spray foam all the way to the eave point and seal air gaps between the roof truss and the ceiling joists which was evident on thermal scan and inspection from the outside of the house I have received an estimate to correct all the problems and will provide detailed photos showing all discrepant areas. 1) Removal of existing blown and batt insulation in attic as well as any plastic vapor barrier on attic floor $1600.00 2) Open and removal at all eave points to insure proper blocking of eaves is in place $750.00 3) Complete re spray with open cell foam at a thickness of 3 ? in with to insure complete coverage and air seal is attained $2200.00 4) Fan Repair $30 I gave Energy Seal, Stan Nagel multiple opportunities to inspect and correct their contractual deficiencies to property located at 1054 Turner Trail, Green Cove Springs, Florida. Energy Seal, Stan Nagel refused instead saying
