Review content:
Although I must admit, the food is very good, I went there for my birthday party a couple of years ago. The hostess was rude to us. Well only SOME of us, and by us, I mean my black guests. I hoped it was my imagination, but my friends seemed to notice it too, two of my friends (4 total black guests of a party of 15) did not even stay for dinner.
We rented the private room in winter. We told them 20 people, but 5 did not show due to the flu at the last minute. At the end of the night Europa tried to spring a $100 room rental charge on us for not having the full 20 people and only having a total of 13- but again 2 of my guest left due to feeling singled out due to the rude hostess. Yet their public dining room was full and they seated a large party in the private room so they could get more revenue. Then had the nerve to try and charge us a room rental fee??
At the end of the night they reversed the charge- but not without an argument. I haven't been back there since.
Again- the food is great there- but the bitter hostess, I assume who is married to the owner or is co-owner- needs to go! They also need to be nicer to people who are not their usual ""boat owning"" crowds.
