The United States medical system is, so freaking messed up! On Saturday, I went to doctor Lee at the Carilion Clinic, for a swollen neck. All he did was, touch my neck for a second and look down my thought. He said, I had a lymph node infection and sent me on my way with a prescription of antibiotics. That night my symptoms got worse so, on Sunday I had to go to the emergeacair in walmart just to get referred to the emergency room. So then, I spent four hours in the er. waiting room. Then, another two hours waiting for a nurse. When the doctor finally saw me, he did a throat swab for strep and blood work for mono. When my blood work came back, it said I had mono. He told me the antibiotics my fam. doctor gave me wouldn't work for mono. He then, gave me steroids and a prescription for pain killers. I spent seven hours in the hospital! So, I went to get the scrip filled today to find out he only gave me one day worth of meds. So, now I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow and get a scrip for more meds. If doctor Lee would of ran blood work in the first place, I would of never had to go to the er. for seven hours but he didn't want to because it was Saturday and he was on call and did not want to be there so, he just rushed me out. Some one who really needed to go to the hospital could of had my place if my original doc would of did his job. What a big pile of B.S.!!!!!
