They have won me over time and time again with their outstanding work and great communication.
You should note, that they no longer have the provo shop, but they are located in Orem now so call for the new address, since I'm not sure what that is. They also have a newer mechanic that works on other than German makes, so anyone can take their car there now. They have several mechanics that specialize specifically in the German makes.
I owned a 1984 Porsche 944 and an 2000 Audi A4. I have had experiences with several other local shops that were disappointing to say the least. Autobahn is the first shop that I have been to that has been completely honest with me, crystal clear with their communication and does an amazing job on the work they do! They have helped me find ways to be able to use my car when repairs needed to be done, but I didn't have the funds to do it immediately. And they never have made me feel out of place (since I appear to be considerably younger than I am several other shops have not really taken me seriously). They answer all my questions thoroughly. And don't under estimate the daughter that works the front counter. She knows more about these German makes than most people. She is more than likely to listen to the symptoms you describe and diagnose the problem accurately including what will be involved in the potential repair(s). There is a lot of family working in this shop and they are all topnotch people. The last time I visited the shop I asked if they could recommend any shops out east since we were moving. They didn't know of any, but said they were sure we'd find one. I told them I was stressed to have to find a new shop again since most I've been to have been shadey, or did poor work or simply didn't understand Audi or Porsche and that repairs weren't the same as other makes, or they had bad communication, or on simple tasks like oil changes they'd repeatedly forget to fill the other liquids, and more than one straight out lied to me, while others still have talked down to me as if I were a child in high school.
Its expensive to get car work done I want a shop that does 100%. I have total confidence in this shop. After years and thousands of dollars spent on maintaining the cars that I love, I really can say that I wish I had known about this shop early on. The work is worth well more than they charge. Out in the east where I live now, the cheapest mechanic charges nearly double the hourly labor!
I really can't say enough about how great this shop is.
