Review content:
I came in with my sister to try on dresses - and I didn't realize we needed an appointment. (First stop in the dress search!) The gal at the front desk lectured us for several minutes about the importance of making appointments, and we can't just expect to waltz in and try things on. When she asked if we'd like to make an appointment for later in the week, I said I'd rather not return. Mysteriously, she discovered they had an appointment available in 5 minutes, and set us loose on the dresses. In terms of the fitting - that was also frustrating. I had worn my fancy-pants formal dress undergarments and high heels to expedite the process, but she still gave me a hard time, and insisted I should try on their bras and heels instead. Finally, she let me try on the dresses, but disappeared after I put on the first one, and didn't return for over 10 minutes. My sister ended up helping me into the next ones, as our consultant didn't reappear until we were trying to leave, at which point she tried to convince me to make another appointment. No thank you! The icing on the cake was that after our visit to David's Bridal, I started receiving sales calls almost nonstop from a variety of bridal vendors. Sometimes as many as3 or 4 a day! I specifically asked that they not share my personal information, and it's clear that request was not honored. In terms of the good, they had many sizes. I wear a street size 12, and not all bridal places carry that in bridal sizes to try on. The dresses were also reasonably priced (for wedding dresses) but many of the styles were quite bedazzled and poofy, and many more were of poor quality. Not bad, but certainly not good enough. Pros: Inexpensive dresses, a variety of sizes. Cons: Rude staff, telemarketing calls
