My friend and I went to Uptown Glassworks yesterday for the first time with our teenage daughters. All four of us had a blast. We each created our uniquely own glass pumpkin or gourd with their Blow Your Own experience. The hardest challenge was picking out the colors for our glass pieces. The artists who guided us were friendly, informative, and very talented. I enjoyed watching my daughter and friends blowing their glass pieces as much as I loved making mine. And we got to be in a working hot shop!! We are already planning our next trip to create our own glass art. In the mean time, I did start my Christmas shopping in their gallery.
