Review content:
i brought my van in on 5/15/11 because my serpentine belt broke and it was a $350 repair. on 8/15/11 i brought the van back because the vehicle overheated. it was determined to be a water pump and ""drive belt."" that is the exact language Fred the shop manager told me on the phone. well, evidently a ""drive belt"" and a ""serpentine belt"" are the same thing. i authorized a $600 repair. i picked up my van on 8/16/11 and i showed my AAA card for a $50 discount. then i looked at the repair invoice and found that they again had replaced the ""serpentine belt"" on the van and this time charged me $6 more for the same part that they had 90 days ago. i brought this to their attention. Fred the manager got mad and started pointing his finger at me and raising his voice when i questioned why he had called me on the phone yesterday, knowing full well that the serpentine belt had been replaced 90 days ago (he admitted he had viewed the previous repair invoice prior to calling me), and then opted to use different terminology to get me to authorize the repair. Fred also said he would give me the $6 back on the belt but in excchange he was going to rescind the AAA $50 discount because ""they were not required to honor it."" i also saw on the AAA guarantee which is in writing in their lobby that they have to show you the old parts on request. they refused to and said they had already thrown them out. they said i had to tell them this when i had called them on the phone. i also told them that had i known the serpentine belt was the same as a drive belt i would have asked for the part to be preserved for my inspection. after Fred continued to yell at me the owner, Steve, finally stepped in and took me to his office. he said all he could do was apologize and talk to Fred about his conduct. i told him i would contact AAA and then voice my experience on the internet. the Christian music they play in the lobby and the religion is all smoke and mirrors BS - they are not to be trusted and are as shady as any other repair facility you will find out there.
