Dog Lovers is great!!! I do not know who has been writing all the bad reviews, but every time I have been in the store, the staff has been very friendly and helpful. On occasions, they even have an old but cute and very sweet border collie named Silk who accompanies clients around the store making the visit more endearing. Checkout is no different from any other pet store. As far as expensive, Dog Lovers sells special quality foods that my vet recommended (Barf Dog Food). Dog Lovers does have a doggy dollar system where they will give you paper which will allow you discounts on most product other than food. I have used them a number of times and never experienced any sort of delay. I find it curious that a few of these negative commentators went out of their way to mention, by name, a pet store in Lutz.
Another thing I found misleading about one of the negative comments, I have been into Dog Lovers many times over the years and they never had a lady who was around 70 years old. I get a warm greeting every time I come into the store and this includes Penny, the owner. Another thing I like about Dog Lovers is that they very much support various animal rescue organizations. I recommend Dog Lovers to anyone who loves their dog and appreciates a staff that loves dogs also!
