About a year ago I contracted a life threatening illness. I sought treatment from Germbusters, they were referred to me by my insurance company. I thought everything was fine, and I was treated and cured. Six months went by and I received a bill for $341. I called my insurance company and I was told by my insurance company that all of the charges excluding my co-pay were paid for. Another six months went by and I received another notice from the doctors office. I called the insurance company again and they resubmitted the information. I had called the billing department for the doctors office this past April to discuss this matter, and they had said that they sent me bills every month for the past year. I asked them where they sent the bills because I had recently moved. The lady said that she sent them to my current address and had been sending it here since June of 2006. I told her that it was impossible to have sent it here because I have only lived here since December of 2006. I had told her what the insurance company had told me, which was that they need to explain the charges being billed before they can be paid. The insurance company told me that they have made numerous attempts to contact this doctors office and no one has been able to resolve this issue. The doctors office insisted that I owed them money for the treatment. They sent me nasty letters stating that my problem is with the insurance company and to contact them and not the doctors office. Just today I received a ""Final Notice"" stating that if I do not pay, it will be reported to the credit bureau and sent for collections. I tried to call them again, following the instructions on the letter, and no one was available to answer my questions. I have 10 days to make a full payment or it will go to collections. I am sure that there are other people out there that are having the same or similar problem. Cons: poor billing practice, billed twice, rude staff
