So I ran out of propane this weekend running my gas grill and smoker. I went to my usual refill station, Middlebrook Exxon. Been refilling there for more than 15 yrs. The attendant tells me he's too busy to fill the bottles. I look around and there's maybe 5 people at the self service pumps!? He tells me to come back after 3pm. Okay, so everybody needs a break. Today, Monday, day of business I take my bottles back for refill and the attendant says ""Not my department' and points at the guys in the service bays. They look really pained and tell me they don't have time right now to fill my bottles...maybe later. I figure in the throws of a recession these guys are doing so well they don't need business, or repeat business, or loyal customers......nice to see that someone is doing well in these times of economy in the toilet......and no, I will not go back to this place. I will now do business with someone who needs and appreciates my business. Too bad...used to be a SERVICE station.
