Review content:
Very simply put- just because a physician is ""IN NETWORK"" does not make them the best to go to. Dr Gordon is a perfect example of this. Though his credentials state pediatric, there is absolutely nothing ""pro-child"" about him. He uses heavy sedation on most young children which is typically NEVER covered & exceeds hundreds of $. If you refuse, he tells you if your child begins to fight he will refuse to treat them/ he did this to us. My child started to wake up and he called my name (I was sitting close to him) & Dr Gordon gruffly told me to shut my mouth after I was trying to tell my son it would be ok. I watched him with other kids - he pushed them back down in chair, told mom's to lay on kid's legs to hold them still, & even huffing & puffing in frustration if they wouldn't ""behave!"" I heard him tell on older child ""this is nothing-you are overreacting & need to stop it"" Our kids were seen & we vowed NEVER to return. I would gladly pay top dollar see an out of network MD, to prevent the trauma a child appears to leave with once he sees them. My sedated son had no memory of the trip but was very ill when he woke for remainder of day. My older son begged not to return- enough said!
Pros: in network- but doesn't mean he doesn't have sedation (hi $) costs
Cons: everything else possible- esp the way the kids are handled- NOT A PEDIATRIC dentist by techniques only credentials.
