I took my handicapped doctor to Dr. Gordon even though he was out of network. I figured that since he claimed to be a pediatric dentist who could treat handicapped children it was worth the extra money. Our experience started in Colerain, where we waited an hour in the waiting room. He never introduced himself to my child and just began to work on her. We said right in front of her that her teeth were in horrible condition ans she should learn to brush better. She has a disease that attacks the connective tissue in her body of which teeth is one of them. She is already highly aware of her teeth and at the age of 8 doesnt need anyone else pointing that out! He wanted to remove 3 teeth and cap 2 more so we made another appt. Today we arrived at the appt, for which we drove to Maineville so she could be seen sooner. She lived with a tooth ache for 2 weeks until she could be seen. When we arrived today, they didn't have her scheduled. They called the Springdale road office and sure enough it was on her chart, but not on the computer. Her chart was at Springdale road office with the notes from her specialist at Children's on how to deal with her pain issues. We originally scheduled an hour appt so she could rest her jaw for a while. They finally brought her back and laid her in the chair. She has a very high tolerance for pain but during the exam he kept raising his voice at her and telling her to lie still. She couldn't speak with that torture device in her mouth to keep her jaw cranked open. She was crying and trying to say ouch and he kept telling her he wasnt doing anything to make her hurt. Her jaw dislocates when it is opened too wide and he knew that - had it in big bold letters on her chart! At one point he caused her so much pain that she wiggled a little. He took his big bear paw and shoved her shoulder down into the table. I had to stand across the room and watch the tears stream down my daughters face! She is now home but has had to have 3 doses of narcotics to control the pain! She is having emergency surgery tomorrow to help with the pain since he never did the extractions!!!!! I am seriously considering filing battery charges against this man. I have already begun the process of contacting the Ohio Dental Board. I will never go back to this guy!!!!!
