I didn't think Candy Cane Park still existed in Mountlake Terrace but thanks to Google I was really happy to see that it does! The last time I stepped foot in the park was in 1966 when I was 5 years old. My 4 year old brother and I used to run away from home in our pajamas and we would always get caught swinging on the swingset by the police and taken home. Usually we were soaking wet from the rain so we appreciated the ride home. We got to know the Mountlake Terrace Police very well! LOL I live in Spanaway, Wa now and my little brother has passed away so I think I'll take a drive to the park to see what it looks like now and to see one of the few things that are still around from my childhood.
