Review content:
I worked for the auto industry for years as a copywriter --I was the anonymous voice behind much of the merchandising and collateral materials produced for AMC/JEEP/RENAULT/CHRYSLER/PLYMOUTH back in the 1980's and helped them to establish one of the largest and most successful dealer/service associations in the world. I know good service and I know competence. But this place was just about one of the worst I've ever experienced. I went in for a simple oil change -- even made an appointment -- it took them over an hour! In the process they dented the hood of my car. When I told them about the dent they lied and denied it -- the manager Cliff was rude and condescending. I called the owner -- Don Gaudette -- who was the same way -- telling me everything I said about Cliff was a lie. He called me a lyer! I had to spend a week running around just to get my car back to its original state. After calling about 40-50 times I finally got them to agree to pay for the repairs. They accepted this but in same breath said they did not accept responsibility. Now how is that possible? Isn't that completely contradictory? No apology. No offer of good will or reconciliation. No compensation for my time or troubles or gas or other inconveniences. Further, my wife told me later that this guy Cliff -- I didn't know about this when I went in for the oil change or I would not have gone but she also went there for an oil change last year -- and he was verbally rude to her and apparently even physically ""moved"" her out of the way at one point in the lobby in front of customers because he didn't like where she was standing. They also quoted her for $2500 in additional work that didn't need to be done. It was a bogus quote for a new air conditioning unit for what ended up being a squeaky belt. These people are bad bad news! They give auto mechanic service a real bad reputation -- buyer beware! Stay away. The same owners have a Goodyear in Shakopee, Burnsville and Bloomington as well. Stay out of those places.
