After visiting many fireplace showrooms south of Boston we finally purchased both a Jotul wood insert and a Regency gas insert for our home in Hingham from August West Chimney in Hingham. Since this was a major purchase we took time to do our homework and visited their showroom many times. On many occasions we asked the same questions from the sales staff and they were all very helpful and offered to show us all the options they offered to make sure that we purchased the right product for our needs. Often we went back a few times in one week and each time were helped professionally and even the smallest concern was addressed.
Gabe came to the house with an assistant to make sure we had ordered the correct inserts and verify that our measurements were correct. Thankfully they had since the insert we requested would not have fit in our basement. He suggested another and we booked the next Monday for the install. He also recommend a plumber and electrician to get all the systems in place prior to the install. They were very easy to deal with as well.
When the install was scheduled I called the store before they were even open and spoke to Gabe and he assured me the crew had just loaded my wood insert and would arrive shortly. When they arrived they explained to me what they needed to do - how to best use the product - the safety issues and how to maintain the unit.
I could not have been more impressed with the service I received from August West for such a major purchase. Every step was pleasurable from dealing with the sales staff repeatedly to the installers.
I will be back August West for my next purchase - thanks for the service you provide.
