My former employer accused me of fraud and embezzlement, which is not only untrue, but can mark you and stop you from making a living, so I knew this was serious. I needed to fight the charges with everything I had, so I asked around for a good criminal defense attorney in Phoenix to defend me. I made a lot of calls, and during my many consultations, only David Black really listened to what I had to say. He asked about everything, because he said that he had to know everything if he was to defend me properly. No stone was left unturned when it came to gathering the evidence and witnesses necessary to prove my innocence. I handed over all my records, and my old boss got subpoenaed. It had turned out that my old boss had more to do with the missing money than I did, since I didn't even have the access that would have allowed me to take all that money anyway! That said, it was still a serious charge and I'm not about to let someone pin their crime on me so they can save their hide. It was a stressful time, and I can tell you that my reputation took a hit while the case was under way. When people hear that I got charged with fraud and embezzlement, they immediately think that it must be true. Because of my loss of employment and reputation, it was hard for me to get another job quickly. I'm happy to say that David recommended another lawyer to handle the loss of income end, so I'm ok even if it took me a while to get another job after clearing my name. David is definitely an excellent defense attorney.
