This was a terrible experience. We will never use this company again. Their website and e mail confirmations preach a much different service than they practice. They are overpriced and we were very disappointed. There are quite a lot of stipulations in their online query and confirmation including a cancellation fee of $75.00. I was initially excited to click on the exact cleaning requests that they promise to fulfill. We then made our appointment and received several e mail confirmations, as well as the online credit card bill pre-paying our REQUIRED four hour initial cleaning service fee of almost $180.00. Well ... at the last minute they canceled our cleaning appointment (after having had the appointment for several days) saying that this was due to overbooking. I was very upset and told them that this was unacceptable. And so they kindly said the cleaner would come a few hours later instead. Well they NEVER arrived !! My husband then called Maid For You New York asking why no one was arriving - and they were mildly apologetic and told him that someone would come the NEXT day. The cleaner did come the next day and was an hour off (early) of the schedule. She was fine but my husband ended up having to finish completing her job after she left and was there for four hours. This was basically a disaster. I wrote a very long e mail requesting a discount or compensation, and I never had an apology OR response. Considering that most of these kinds of companies keep most of the fee themselves, we are now going to only go with maids recommended from friends who work independently of these kinds fraudulent companies!
