Businiess name:  Stevens Funeral Home

Review content:
I was very displeased to use the services of Stevens Funeral Home. They allowed a lady to put her as my fathers wife and she was only his girlfriend. My sisters and I told the funeral director on numerous times that she was only a girlfriend and he clearly stated that she was paying for the funeral that she could say she was whoever she wanted to be. It was very disrespectful to my MOTHERS memory for them to say that they had been married for 15 years when my mom passed 5 1/2 years ago and they were still legally married. The director said if we wanted to write him a check for the amount of the funeral he would put what we wanted him to say. I think its very wrong to disrespect family members the way they did at Stevens Funeral Home. I have NEVER seen anyone let the things that happened at this funeral home happen. My aunt asked to speak and was told that it was ok but when the GIRLFRIEND said no the director didnt even tell us he just ended the services like it didnt matter what we wanted and how we felt as the actual family I am very upset. Also they messed up on the obutiary and left out my name as a daughter and has to have her permission to fix it but they can put her as my dads last name which is not true and being published in the newspapers in 3 towns and 2 states.
