Going on a friend's recommendation, we called N.R.G. Air earlier last summer when our our air conditioner wasn't working. I was dreading the visit because we just bought our home and inherited a furnace and air conditioner that are over 10 years old. Previous visits for furnace inspections from two big-name Indianapolis heating and cooling companies left me feeling swindled and not very trusting. Once tech from N.R.G. Air arrived at the house, though, I knew I would have nothing to worry about. He's a very friendly and straightforward guy, who would rather fix your HVAC problem and keep you as a long term customer than persuade you spend a few thousand more dollars on a new heating or cooling apparatus. He inspected the whole HVAC system carefully and found that the problem lie in a bad wiring job on thermostat done by the original installer. He fixed this and we had cool air again in our house. On top of that, I was only charged the standard $79.95 house call rate, when I thought I would be out a couple thousand dollars in the end. N.R.G. Air did us a good service, and they will be our heating and cooling contractor from now on. Another first time homeowner lesson learned: stick with the small businesses thy friends recommend and leaneth not on thine own understanding.
