Review content:
If you believe anyone of the 44-45 reviews that is here believe this one. I am a certified Indian food fanatic. I eat Indian food at least 4 days each week. All of the Indian resturants in town know me by name or at least by face so suffice ti to say I know a little bit about Indian food to say the least. This place is not all that great. I guess it is better than nothing if you are desperate and simply must get your hands on some Indian food but it is FAR, FAR from being the best. The food just isn't seasoned as well as most other places and I have been trying to figure out why the place stays so busy and my conclusion is that it is becuase of sites like this one. First of all it is conveniently located right near downtown and if someone is new to town they are going to visit the first one that pops up on the list and has lots of seemingly positive reviews. I wonder if they pay people to write good reviews because off all the friends of mine that have gone there none have given such gushing reviews and all prefer food from other Indian resturants. So I think they are just popular with people who are new to town and just go with the first name they see or with people who don;t have much experience with Indian food and don;t know the good from the bad. Also they ae very rude at this resturant. I have seen them be very short with customers and have a very condescending take it or leave it air which is very unbecoming in the hospitality industry. I am not here to start a war between resturants with my comments but if you want truly GREAT Indian food my favorite is Bombay Palace on West End. They are really, I mean really niceand the food is PHENOMENAL! That is my personal favorite and friends of mine that are in culinary school are also obsessed with Bombay Palace not Bombay Grill that is a totally separate and not so great place. But If you are one of those people who never heeds the warning then go ahead and try Sitar for yourself and I am most certain you will not come away with the feeling that you just had a great experience But if you have time and money to waste suit yourself. I'll see you at Bombay Palace, The Woodlands, Shalimar or anywhere else except this unwelcomig, substandard food serving place.
