Review content:
Our AC system was freezing up at night. We suspected we had a refrigerant leak and called All Air to come out and check the system. They were very pleasant on the phone and in person and acted very professionally. HOWEVER, the first time Chris came out, he told us that the system had to be completely refurbished for $1600. Our refrigerant was low, but instead of looking for a leak, Chris just topped off the system and left. What he meant by 'refurbished' was that the coils had to be cleaned inside and out. We went to Lowes that weekend and bought $8 worth of coil cleaner and did everything he recommended in less than 2 hours. The next week, our system froze up again and (stupidly) I called All Air again to come back out and do a leak check. They actually commented on how clean the system looked. The charged me $325 for TWENTY MINUTES worth of work to find the leak!!! Basically all they did was take the refrigerant out of the system and replace it with nitrogen, then go around to all the coils and spray windex on them to see if anything bubbled from a leak. They refused to give me an explanation for the price and refused to come down on the price. That price is basically $1000 an hour!!! They found the leak, but that $325 will only go toward repair of the leak IF I buy a whole new system from them!!! I called around to some other places and they told me that they charge $50-80 to find a leak. DO NOT USE ALL AIR UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!!!!
