So, here?s a Hair Cult review in the form of a cautionary tale. You might choose Hair Cult because it?s conveniently located in your neighborhood and you like the bohemian style of the decor. Initially, it seems like a good choice: your first visit to the salon is a very positive experience. You enjoy the complimentary cup of Aveda herbal tea and the relaxing head massage, and your haircut is great. As time passes and you become a regular client, however, you realize that the tea is not always offered, the massages have become briefer and more perfunctory, and the quality of your haircut varies. Furthermore, you?ve noticed that the staff seem prone to mood swings, and they often pay more attention to each other than to their own clients. After one particularly aggravating appointment, which leaves you with a badly layered cut and the feeling that you were being talked about behind your back, you start wondering whether you should look for another salon. In the end, the decision is made for you. You learn that your stylist has left and moved across the country without giving you any warning. Not to mention that you?re going to be married in a few months, so now you really *do* need to find a new stylist for your all-important wedding-day hair. Fortunately, there are plenty of other salons in Hoboken and in NYC. Maybe you should have looked elsewhere first. Pros: Location, products Cons: Attitude, lighting
