Review content:
After years of hearing wonderful reports on Peddler's Steakhousef, and with the kids out house for the night, my husband and I headed there for dinner. The decor is very outdated. The carpet is worn and in desperate need of replacing. The chairrails are dinged and chipped. As for the food, the steak was very good. I had the primerib and my husband had a custom-cut ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection... however that's the only thing I enjoyed about the meal. The onion ring appetizer was flavorless and about the quality you can find in your grocer's freezer. The salad bar was self-serve. OK, it you like that sort of thing. The garlic bread served with the meal was pointless and not much different than your basic toaster oven garlic bread. Lastly, when my husband asked for chives for his baked potato what he got was a dish full of the lovely dried chives you buy in bulk from any warehouse club. Very sad. If all you want is good meat - by all means head to Peddler's. If you want a little more for the $100 you're going to spend, head to Angus Barn.
