My dad (50's) has raved about Ledo's pizza since I was a kid. We moved when I was about 3, and he hasn't had Ledo's since. My mom remained near Chicago and we've been in the restaurant a couple times since. I'm now 28. My dad said when he was a kid they didn't know any better, how the pizza was so good, they just thought that it was "pizza". When he grew up and went to MANY pizza places to find that Ledo's REALLY IS THE BEST! They pack on the ingredients, they don't use a ruler to put on the pepperoni/sausage evenly either. The crust is like a crisp bread with a chewy inside and the cheese melts like butta'. They put a good amount of sauce on the pizza, but it's all about the cheese & ingredients because they don't overdo the sauce. Now that I live in Chicago, I had to get one of their pizzas...just as I remembered it! My dad asked that I drive to Ledo's and pick him up a pizza on my way over this weekend. He's ecstatic! You can't beat a Ledo's pizza!!
Pros: AWESOME PIZZA!! The service is great - they want you happy. They don't change ingredients...at least I can't tell in over 20 years if they did.
Cons: Kind of a "towny" place inside, could use some new furniture. I wish there were more locations.
