Review content:
The absolute worst, rudest, and most angry service I have experienced in years! I went into the store last week looking for a pair of AE Peyton's that were advertised. They did not have any in stock, but the salesman made a big pitch to bring in one of my older pair of AE's and give their re-crafting service a try for $90, which he said was way better than AE's. I went in this afternoon with a pair of old AE's wingtips for re-crafting. I encountered a man with a moustache who took my shoes, looked the over and just sneered at them. At first, he said that there was no way that they could be AE's. Another associate looked at them and confirmed that they were, in fact, AE's; which, of course, was obvious. He then said that they had been so poorly repaired that it would cost $100 or more to re-craft them. I said fine, but stated that I was quoted a price of $90. I paid him $100 and asked him their work was guaranteed. The guy just flipped. He stated that if I was unhappy with their work, too bad, that I would never get my money back. He then literally leaned over the counter and stated quite aggressively that no one in the store would have ever quoted a price of $90 to me (implying that I was a liar) and he literally grabbed one of the shoes out of my hand turned it over and started jabbing it in my facing pointing to the apparently poor prior repair work. I responded that I did not think that being yelled at or being abusive was a particularly effective customer service strategy and requested an immediate refund. He gave me my money back and then, I kid you not, he again grabbed one of the shoes out of my hand. At this point I had had enough and I told him in clear terms to let go of my shoes and then I departed. If the store manger or the owner of the store reads this, I ask him or her to contact me via YELP. An apology is expected.
Pros: Moustached clerk angrily yelling at me?
Cons: Moustached clerk grabbing shoes and jabbing in myface
