Review content:
First time last night, despite some mixed reviews we took a chance. After waiting what seemed to be a very long time for water and bottled beer, we were served an excellent meal. We had the eggplant parmesan which came with angel hair pasta and appetizing vegetables on the side, and a delicious dish of shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels and more. It was served in a light red sauce with pasta. Rolls with a tomato dipping sauce (very tasty) accompanied the meal. The restaurant was dark and small, with a pleasant decor and a small bar off to one side. It was not too noisy, which is often a problem in many places we eat. By 7:30, people were waiting to get in! As it is in a strip shopping center, just south of Durant on Falls of the Neuse, it is not impressive on the outside and the large "pizza" sign makes you think it is a pizza parlor, which it is not.. They also advertise beer, but many wines are available. Only reason for four stars was the long initial wait.
Pros: Delicious classic Italian dishes, cozy, reasonable prices
Cons: slow service
