I took my Honda 4track 300 in for a small short that was draining the battery down in the space of a week. It still easily kick started. I was told 3 to 5 days to fix it. That was Thanksgiving. I got the quad back in January. Paid 750.00 for a new stator. Was told they forgot to charge the battery up, so I had to push it up the ramps to take it home. After being on the charger for 24 hours it still would not start. Additionally it would not walk up the gears easily or kick start. I brought it back. After a month was told it had a short and needed additional work to find it. I picked it up and took it to another shop where they told me in a couple of days the stator was shorted out and needed replacing, but likely a short was causing this damage. I told them I had already replace the stator at the previous shop and not got it started since then. They told me find the short then fix the stator.
