Review content:
I spent months researching and touring nursing home facilities in southern California, to care for my father. The stench in most didn?t permit my going any further than the entry areas. Other homes were clearly run down and the people working in them didn?t seem to want to be there. When my sister and I saw New Vista we new immediately it was the home we wanted our dad to be. It was well kept, extremely clean, didn?t have the disgusting smell most nursing homes have but rather smelt clean, and everyone who was working in the home was pleasant. Not only was there constant interaction between the residents and staff but all of the contact seemed genuine and sincere. My father is not a pleasant man and is very difficult to deal with. When I apologize for his bad behavior the staff seems to go out of their way with efforts to make me feel better, saying things like he?s not bad, this is normal behavior, don?t worry... assuring me they?ll continue to take care of him and keep him safe. Recently I had a problem with a doctor that was treating my father. I phoned the administrator of NV (Joel) to visit about this situation. He couldn?t have been more gracious, understanding and helpful. He very patiently allowed me to vent about the situation then offered help, suggestions and solutions. Pros: null Cons: null
