Businiess name:  Mark's American Cuisine

Review content:
Although not an unpleasant dining experience, I hope that this is not the best Houston has to offer (as I have been lead to believe). Initially the service was poor (20 minutes after being seated we finally got some water and bread, the wine to much longer to arrive), but did improve slightly. The menu contains some excellent dishes (venison and fois gras appetizer was delicious), but in general the menu was not particularly interesting. But maybe that's just the definition of "new american cuisine." Mark's is good, but to be honest, it ain't THAT good. I wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion simply because I don't think you can bank on it being a great experience. Pros: Cute Cons: Poor service, Crowded
