My husband and I recently purchased a futon and mattress set for our son who is going to school at UNC. We visited a few different mattress stores, and were really put off by the high pressure salespeople. At one store, we felt like we were being stalked by the salesperson! When we went to the Better Sleep Store, however, the salesperson was happy to let us look around on our own, and when we did have questions, she was very knowledgeable and friendly. She didn't try to pressure us or 'upsell' us, and their prices were very reasonable compared to what we had seen at the bigger chain stores. We were under the impression that a small, independent shop would be more expensive, but what we got was actually better quality and less expensive than what we had been quoted at the other places. And it was all in stock, so we got it delivered the next day. Now we have decided to go ahead and replace our own bed and are thinking about trying a Temperpedic. It's good to know that we can buy locally and still get good quality and low prices.
