Review content:
I will not take another pet of mine to Knowles in Snapper Creek location. My husband and I took my dog in because he wasn't getting up or was having trouble walking with his hind legs. We thought the reason was that he had a sore by his tail. When we arrived they saw him and said that they would have to draw blood, do spinal exray. The veternarian infored us the dog had a fever and they would have to put an iv on him and had to hospitalize. The sore by his tail was an allergy. The blood results came out as if he would have eaten something he wasn't suppose to. The vet said he probably had eaton one of the balls that fall from the palm trees in the back yard. She said his liver level was elevated but nothing to be alarmed. His lower back had a little of arthritis but not to stop him from walking. We left him overnight and they were giving my dog sterods, for his back, pain killers, and something to lover his liver count. On Sunday, they told us we would have to leave him another day and that it was going to cost another $600.00 at least with all the medications. I said I wanted to take him home and that I would purchase the medications and give them to him. I had to sign a release form and I took him home. They did nothing for him. I ended up paying $1,100.00. I took my dog home and gave him the medication as directed. Monday he was having problems walking but we were helping him. Tuesday he was having problems walking but we helped him. He never stopped eating, drinking water, etc. Wednesday morning he got up by himself and wanted to poop outside so we opened the door and he went to poop on his own. He was walking slowly but on his own. All day he was fine. At 6:15 p.m. Wednesday my dog calpsed and looked very bad. My son and husband called me and told me hurry home. I got home in 5 minutes and my dog looked very bad. We rushed him to the another emergency room not Knowles and when we got their he was pooping blood, had a temperature and was having segiures in the car on the way to the hospital. They put an iv on him, drew his blood and realized that his liver level was up to 600. Later on that night he kept bleeding from his behind, mouth and nose he went into cardiac arrest and passed away. I believe that he was not diagnosed properly at Knowles. I think that whatever he got into or ate he had more of it than the vet imagined and maybe if they would have cleaned out his stomach and reacted quickly my dog would still be alive. Knowles basically just told me when I took him home that I would have to take the dog to a neurologist if he didn't walk in a couple of days so than what happened to my dog and why did he die. We never thought he was going to die. Now we are left without our very loved pet. Ended up spending over $2000.00 and nothing was done to save his life. His viewing will be on Saturday and we are going to have him Cremated and taking the ashes home. Shame on you Knowles and to the Veternarians that don't know what they are talking about. Why didn't she consider cleaning out his stomach. She said he was going to be fine. Why his he dead! My pet was part of our family and now we are all left grieving. This shouldn't happen to anyone. Word of advice: Don't take your pet's to Knowles. And the person that tried sueing and couldn't yes all these veternarians protect eachother and end up saying your dog died because of ? instead of the truth.
