Review content:
My daughter bought a 4 1/2 month old Puggle at Pet City Pets. When my daughter went to check the puppy out, she pointed out to the owner that the puppy was wheezing, had a red rash all over her belly and had cherry eye. The owner told my daughter that she would take her to the vet the next day. The next day the dog had surgery for the cherry eye but was cleared by the vet that Pet City uses as far as the wheezing and rash. After several visits to see the puppy, my daughter fell in love with this very sweet animal and we decided to purchase her. Pet City Pets has a "5 day health guarantee". We immediately took the puppy to our vet in our hometown. The puppy had pneumonia, demodex mites and demodetic mange with a severe rash on her belly and severely infected ears. In the first 3 months of having my puppy, I spent over $700 in vet bills. I contacted the owner and was reimbursed for the first set of bills but then they didn't return calls or e-mails. Two days after we purchased the puppy, Pet City Pets was raided by the Humane Society who was investigating animal cruelty. I am happy to say that our puppy is now heathy and is a very smart, sweet and loving pet. I would avoid Pet City Pets at all cost. I hope the Michigan Human Socirty shuts them down. And the vet they use also needs to be investigated.
