Review content:
I had my car towed to Naper Auto Works because the starter on my car went out. I asked them to call me before doing any work because I didn't want to be over charged for a simple job. They called me the next day and said that it was going to cost me 411$ to put on a new starter. I had previously looked up the part and it cost around 120$ to buy. They were trying to charge me 411$ to put on a 120$ part. I spoke with multiple auto shops and all of them said it doesn't take much more than an 1-1.5 hours to change the starter (so I got charged 290$ worth of labor which is like 200$ an hour for labor). In the end they knew I had no choice because I had the car towed there and it would cost me to tow it somewhere else. They off set the high labor cost by saying the parts are more expensive. Also I asked them if I could buy the part for them to install they said they won't do it. These people are thiefs RESPONSE FROM Naper Auto Works Inc.: Dear Lucas, I hate to hear that you were dissatisfied with the price of the repairs on your car. When our customers are not satisfied, We are not satisfied. We always hope that by giving our customers an estimate over the phone before you have the car towed to the shop, and by delivering your car at the original estimated cost, that we could eliminate misunderstandings about the cost of the repairs. Apparently, we have more work to do on that front. To insure quality repairs and be able to offer a full parts & labor warranty, we only use known quality parts from reputable suppliers. We do appreciate your business and don't want to lose you as a customer. We hope that you will come back and give us a second chance to work with you. Satisfaction guaranteed.
