After sitting through a two hour timeshare spiel, we were "awarded" a 2 night complimentary stay at Diamond's Lake Tahoe Resort. When I called to book the reservation, I was told that Diamond puts non-owners up at Harvey's casino in South Lake Tahoe. We have been here one night with another ti go. The room smells like stale smoke and dry cleaning solution so much that our eyes are burning, but the front desk said they have no other rooms available. When I checked online, there are other rooms, just not the cheapest rate ones that Diamond booked for us. So instead of the beautiful resort that Diamond has pictured on their brochures, we are left in a dark, stale smelling room one floor up from the casino, And when we called Diamond, no help there either. Bait and Switch! Thankfully I did not buy into this company!
