Dr. Larrick was awful. Totally unprofessional, unhygienic and unfriendly. First of all, the office is cluttered with a bunch of junk, smells bad and is not clean at all. Second, I waited a total of 45 minutes to have my teeth cleaned even though I didn't see any other patients there waiting. Dr. Larrick did the 'cleaning' because his hygienist was out and he did a terrible job. Several of the instruments didn't work properly, he didn't even do the scaling/scraping part at all, just started spraying my mouth with that bitter, gritty, pasty stuff. While he sprayed, he was turned to the side, not concentrating on what he was doing and literally sprayed all over my face, up my nose, in my hair...I'm not exaggerating, I was covered in the stuff. Then the water hose thing didn't work so I couldn't rinse and he just went right into the next thing--putting 'Cavitron'? on my teeth and then asked an assistant to floss my teeth. That was it. The whole appointment. I take good at home care of my teeth but due to not having insurance/money for years as a student, I hadn't been to the dentist in 5 years and was expecting to get a rather intense cleaning to get rid of plaque/tartar, etc. He didn't even look at my teeth at all. He just went right into the spray cleaning thing, which I doubt was even very effective since he was barely even getting my teeth and wasn't looking at what he was doing. He made terrible jokes the whole time, was not personable at all, didn't ask me any questions about anything. He wasn't wearing scrubs or a mask, he had gloves on but he put them on first, before getting his utensils out/ready and was wearing the gloves while he opened cabinets and drawers, rested his hand on the counter with the gloves on, etc. Disgusting. I should have gotten up out of the chair and walked out. I can't believe I had a $40 co-pay for this, it was ridiculous. A toddler could have done a better job with that spraying tool and would probably have had a more professional attitude too. Now I've got to look for a new dentist.
