Businiess name:  Tianjin Gou-Bu-Li Bun

Review content:
It is rare to find a restaurant which evokes so many happy memories from childhood. Tianjin GBL is one of those restaurants for me. My grandmother was a master dumpling maker and I had lost hope of finding a restaurant that could top hers...I've found it. Tianjin GBL makes handmade northern style dumplings (also known as gyoza for those familiar with Japanese dumplings or mandoo for the Koreans) with various fillings. We had pork with celery filling and pork with squash filling and both were outstanding. Additionally, the scallion pancakes were crisp and nongreasy and the handmade noodles were perfectly chewy. The ambiance is about as exciting as a school cafeteria and the wait staff gruff, but I recommend this restaurant for anyone who is in search of the authentic.

As an added bonus, the cost for dinner at this restaurant is on par with restaurants in mainland China. Dinner for the four us (and we ate a ton!) came to $40!!!
