Review content:
This is an excellent place to kick back, relax and meet some very interesting and colorful hometown people. You'll also see many people that use this as their "getaway" from the hectics of life. Some, you may be surprised that you know! This tavern is 102 years old and you'll just have to try the Scott County famous "Poopie Burgers" (just ask and they'll explain how the name came about). Go in and play a game of pool, the golf machine, gamble a little or go out back on the patio and watch or participate in a horseshoe game. (SEMO Horseshoe Tournaments in summer) Casual dress expected. Don't let the name fool you.
Pros: excellent hamburgers, very relaxed setting, German atmosphere
