Both of my daughters are members of the shawnee soccer club. we first got involved with them because the girls wanted to play a sport and this was the only sports club that we thought had reasonable prices. The kids are enrolled for the current season only, so no long term commitment if they decide this is not their thing. Everything is included in the enrollment fee except for their uniforms. You can buy your own shorts and cleets and so only have to buy the team jersey, which is not expensive. The teams are girls only or boys only and the emphasis is not on winning only. They teach the kids great team spirit. My girls love to play soccer and wouldn't want to miss a game or practice for anything! The only downside is that a lot of teams split up after the season and have to form new teams for the new season. So far it has been nothing but a great experience for the whole family! Way to go shawnee soccer club!
