I was so pleasantly surprised by La dolce vita. I called for the first time the day of on a saturday to see if I could get a last minute appointment. They're open late, even on weekends, and they fit me right in, even though I didn't make it easy for them (I was stuck at work until late). Now let me preface what I'm going to say here--my hair is impossible to cut. It's super straight, and super fine so if it's not done perfectly, you can see every little mistake. Plus, I can't get it cut in a way that I'm going to have to style AT ALL because A) Idon't have the time, and B) even if I do style it, my hair is so fine that it will go flat 20 minutes after being styled. Regardless of this, every stylist I go to tries to give me some trendy cut that I'm going to have to mess with, and I inevitably end up unhappy. But Jen, my stylist at la dolce vita, took one look at my hair and understood what I needed. She gave me an amazing cut that looks great WITHOUT ANY STYLING AT ALL, and to prove it, she didn't try to give me that crispy, "I just left the salon" hair. She just dried and it looked perfect, with no effort at all. I left so happy, with a cut that was right for me, which is no small feat. I'm definitely going back.
