I took my 2002 Tahoe in to get the emergency brake repaired. I asked if they could also give me an estimate on securing the grill guard. They estimated it was going to be $75 to replace 2 bolts on the grill guard. That seemed a little high!! So, I said no on that repair. They also told me that I was missing some metal casing around the spark plugs to protect them from heat. I asked them to repair that as it sounded important. When I picked up the Tahoe, my mistake was that I didn't check the bill BEFORE I paid. When I got home, I noticed I was charged for the grill guard repair and not the metal casings. I called and he said the guy that had worked on my vehicle had gone home for the day, so he WASN'T SURE if the bill was wrong and the work was done as I asked or if they just did the wrong work. He said he would call back the next day. He never called back. I checked myself and the grill guard was secured. So, guess what, I paid 75 bucks to have 2 bolts put in. And I still have to go back and get the metal casing done. I won't be taking it back there for that. It doesn't seem like the left hand knows what the right is doing there.
