When I called to book a appointment with Dr. Giannelli my first question was if they accepted Aetna and the reply was yes. My first visit there was great. On completion of my second appointment I was told I had a balance which surprised me because my insurance was 100% with cleaning and cavaties. When I questioned the bill the lady at the desk then stated that they were not part of Aetna PPO. This is after 1 cleaning and 2 cavaties filled. I am unemployed and now I have to worry about how to pay a bill that I asked about from the start. This is very upsetting, I have never had to worry about not trusting the person who answers the phone to know what they are talking about. Usually if the insurance I have submitted doesn't pay the front desk would give a courtesy call to say your insurance only pays for a certain amout or we are not part of this PPO. I guess the key would is courtesy. I like Dr. Giannelli but I am afraid I could not refer anyone to that site. This is going to be an expensive lesson to learn.
