Review content:
I have suffered with severe TMJ disorder for 10 years. During that time, I have tried night guards, physical therapy from a “TMJ specialist”, arthroscopic surgery on my TMJs, La Fort 1 with Osteotomy (a horrible, painful surgery), and when all else failed, pain management doctors. Nothing helped. I still had pain every day. I was told that the only thing that I could do was total joint replacement. Having researched that the results of such replacements left most patients still in pain, I wanted to avoid that option at all costs. So I went to see Susan at Therapy Central in Forest Creek.
I was very skeptical at first, because nothing had worked for me before. Susan was amazing, and said that she wouldn’t do anything that I wasn’t comfortable with. During the first session, she worked on my neck and shoulders. They were a mess! Painful though that first 90 minutes was, I immediately felt better. Susan explained what she was doing, asked how I was feeling, and gave me things do so once I left her office. Now, 4 visits later, I’m a changed woman. I haven’t had that constant, horrible jaw pain for several weeks, and am weaning myself off of the pain meds.
I can’t thank Susan enough!
