We found a great deal on some carpet and scheduled the install to be done before our families came in from out-of-town to stay with us. One problem, the installers said that the carpet was so old that the backing was cracked and if stretched the carpet would tear. Wish the installers would have noticed that before they ripped up our old carpet. Now we have exposed tack strips and just the carpet pad down. Not the safest thing to have exposed on stairs especially with company coming over for the holidays. To make matters worse NFM won't honor the originally quoted price and instead has agreed to charge us double the original amount. I guess that's one way to up sell someone.
