Review content:
I procrastinated until I couldn't stand my roots anymore, and they fit me in with - no lie - one hour's notice, and then the stylist spent two hours with me. I saw Maki. Her consultation was great (talked me out of layers that really would have been disastrous on my baby-fine, poker-straight hair), she was easy to talk to, and gave me the most natural-looking two-color highlights I've had in years (maybe ever)! The place has a cute, unpretentious spa atmosphere, and the whole staff was really personable. It's not super easy to find from the street if you've never been there, but it is just stone's throw from the Church St. exit of the Harvard Sq. red line stop, and is right next to the Starbucks if you need a landmark to find it. All in all, I had a great experience and, as a new resident of Cambridge, I can definitively say that I have a new hairdresser here. It was so nice, I even scheduled myself a Dr. Hauschka facial for next week (having seen the other posts rave about it). Call Maki!
P.S. - The price for my two-color partial foil highlights on my super long hair was shockingly reasonable.
Pros: Squeezed me in at the last minute
Cons: Can be hard to find if you've never been there
