Review content:
My family and I joined the club during their "preview" period and are very underwealmed. First, the main clubhouse can be rented out to any organization for functions. Why would I want to invest $12k in initiation fees in a club that anyone can use? Second, it seems as though they go out of their way to avoid being "family friendly". The main dining room is very stuffy, the relaxed bar area offers a very limited menu, and the recommendation is tht families dine at the Kissing Camels club dining room, which lacks the views and grandeur of the main clubhouse. Third, everything is EXPENSIVE! When I'm paying $300 a month I don't expect to pay $8 for a burger at the pool or a minimum of $25 per plate in the main dining room plus a mandatory 20% gratuity. Granted members get a 10% discount, so that burger is only $7.20...so if I eat 375 burgers a month I make up for my monthly dues! Long story short, after a stint as a member of the club in the preview period, I don't think I'll be joining. Instead I will be spending more time at the Broadmoor, where I doubt that I can spend more than $300 a month in addition to the cost of food, my wife's spa treatments, etc.
