Review content:
Matt (that'd be the main moving guy) kept complaining and moaning about my washer not being able to make it down the stairs because I didn't have the lock keys to keep the barrel from moving. Even though when I called Lowes, where I bought the washer, they said they don't need them. Matt continues to tell me my washer is going to washer heaven if he moves it. Drama ensues. My boyfriend goes up to Lowes, gets the pins, and voila, problem solved right? No. It seemed like every piece of furniture he touched he complained about liability. I used the same company last year and was more than impressed. The two biggest guys I have ever seen and one smaller one came out, moved everything out of the townhouse, into my apartment, into a storage unit and then up to Huntersville into my ex?s place and were done in under 7 hours. How long did it take these 3 guys to move from my apartment to the new place, which is about 20 minutes away? I paid for 6.5 hours of time. Matt tried to convince me that other than the 3 hour minimum and the 1 hour drive time, that I was required to pay them a one hour lunch break, which is not in the contract. So he "called his boss" to see if they could dock it, even though when I called their boss after they left to share my lovely experience, he was completely dumbfounded and didn?t know what I was talking about. The extra guy I was paying an extra $30 an hour for didn't do a thing except move pillows. However, Matt was the one who did most of the work at the apartment, he did move all the furniture alone (why the other two guys couldn?t help him is beyond me rather than standing around on their cell phones and smoking). But he would not stop running his mouth about how "$60,000 a year just isn't enough for this sh*t." AND THE KICKER, when I finally paid, in cash, Matt refused to sign the sheet where it says "Payment Received at Destination," which is why I called his boss in the first place to make sure he knew they left with cash in hand.
Cons: Service, Time Management
