Review content:
South Mountian Stables is for tenderfeet and greenhorns. I guess I expected a little more spirit in my horse, and instead got a placid plodder that kept stopping to eat.
The prices are average - around $30 for a one hour ride - and the scenery on the trail ride is very nice. They offer a breakfast ride that is an hour long and serves a full breakfast. I think that's the most enjoyable time of the day to be out and around in the desert, and if these horses are going to get frisky at all, it's probably then. Don't count on it, though.
If you've never ridden a horse before or are taking kids along, this is a really fun experience.
