Review content:
The rooms are good size, bathroom adequate, nothing fancy. The bedroom window/door opens up onto a balcony where you can see the beach/ocean from the left. It's rignt across the street from the beach, close to restaurants, but kind of far from the main street, State Street where all the shopping and restaurants are. The outside of the hotel has a lot of curbside appeal. There's parking onsite but across the street behind the hotel is a Hotel 6, not very attractive view if your window looks out in that direction. The front office staff was very friendly. The hotel consists of several pods of buildings with Spanish names, like Santa Maria. The hallways remind me of Spanish stucco buildings. They didn't have the washcloths ready & the maintenance woman told us it would be another 10 mins (prob washing/drying/folding). When we returned, there were several washcloths on the sink waiting for us. For an overnight stay, this was a nice place. But the air conditioner was loud, we could even hear the air conditioner running in the room next door.
Pros: onsite parking, across the street from the beach, curbside appeal
Cons: loud air conditioning
