My husband and I needed a bigger car for our growing family. We personally despise the whole scene of a car dealership, and were a little apprehensive when we started our search for a new car. The salesmen at Sarasota Ford were very knowledgeable and friendly. We took a car for a test drive and when we were finished he asked us to come back into the showroom. They have a large screen TV in the showroom that runs cartoons and they have coloring books and little chairs and tables for the kids to sit at. This "kid friendly" atmosphere made my husband and I more relaxed. They offered to get my family drinks and even something to eat. As the salesman ran back and forth to the 'managers' office, supposedly "working on some numbers", I looked around and saw that each family was getting the same individualized attention. At least three times someone known as a 'manager' came over to us and asked if he could get us anything. Well, they worked their "car magic" on us and it worked. We bought a new car, and we have not once said, "We should have shopped around for a better deal." Because, honestly, we got a very good deal. I have to say the only bad thing that did happen while we were there was when we agreed to buy the vehicle. They wanted the car we were going to trade-in, right then and there. I felt very rushed and quite frankly, wasn't ready to say goodbye to my old car just yet. So, we compromised, I left a deposit and promised I would come back (because really now, how many times have you done that? "Oh, yeah. I'll be back tomorrow." and you know you're never going back there.) I took my old car home, emptied her out said "thanks for the memories" and then traded her in. Overall, it was (I am shocked to admit this) a pleasant experience. P.S. The Service Department is wonderful!
